Kidz 'n' Cats Mareike Doll

Mareike is the most beautiful doll from the the Kidz 'n' Cats range designed in Germany by Sonja Hartmann and is suitable for children age 6 years and up.

Mareike is 46cm tall and is an all vinyl phthalate free doll with 9 joints. Mareike has fully jointed arms and legs but also has elbow and knee joints making her incredibly posable and realistic. A great deal of attention has been paid to the modelling of Mareike's body. Not only does she have a beautiful face but her little fingers and toes are so detailed and she perhaps has the prettiest belly button at Bambolina!

Mareike's face is beautiful as she has sparkly blue acrylic eyes with long eye lashes, rounded blushing cheeks, a cute little button nose and a rose bud shaped mouth. Her long blonde hair is actually a kankalon wig attached to her head giving the hair a more realistic appearance and making her hair style far easier to maintain.

Mareike's outfit is stunning. She is wearing a mauve T shirt with a boat shaped neck trimmed with self coloured ruffles. The sleeves are elbow length and bound with brown fabric covered in tiny polka dots. The same fabric is used to trim all around the T shirt and is finished with a little false bow stitched on the front. There is also a sweet little printed picture of a tiny cat sitting at a table. With the T shirt Mareike wears a pair of elasticated cropped black velvety trousers over a pair of rose pink opaque tights covered in tiny white dots. Mareike's shoes are a classic mary jane style in black velvet. They have a bow stitched on the front the strap fastens with a popper. Mareike's double breasted coat is made from a grey boucle fabric. It has a pretty round collar and gathered skirt trimmed with black velvet and a bow. It has pale grey covered buttons on the front but the coat fastens with poppers. The sleeves have rolled back cuffs and some pale grey fabric peeking out trimmed with pink ribbon. To complete the outfit Mareike has a tiny black velvet bag trimmed with the rose pink fabric used for her tights. She has two pink ribbons tied in her hair. As underwear Mareike wears a white body with pale pink blanket stitching around the edges.

The body of this doll can be cleaned using a damp cloth with a little mild detergent if required. The body should not be immersed in water as this will rot the elastic holding the limbs onto the body.

The hair can be carefully washed using a mild shampoo taking care not to create tangles. Care should be taken to avoid getting the wig wet as this may upset the glue used to attach the wig to the head.

The dolls clothes can be hand washed using a mild detergent in warm water. Do not tumble dry but dry flat, smoothing out creases whilst damp. Iron using a cool iron if needed.
