Petite Fleur is a range of beautiful new dolls from Heart & Soul, the German company well known for the popular Kidz 'n' Cats dolls introduced three years ago. The Petite Fleur dolls will be launched in August 2012 and have been designed with children from the age of 3 to 6 years in mind.
The dolls are 18" tall with fabric bodies which have been quite well filled to enable them to stand up on their own whilst remaining cuddly to hold. Their arms and legs are jointed at the shoulder and hip and the heads not only turn but tilt as well. (They do not have the extra joints in the elbow, knee and wrist that Kidz 'n' Cats dolls have). The hair is rooted which is more hard wearing than a wig and can actually be washed and dried with a hair drier. The dolls have sweet little faces which remind me a little of Kathe Kruse Lolle dolls and Sigikid dolls, with their slight smiles. Their eyes also close when the dolls are laid down.
You'll see from the picture that there are five dolls in the range. On the left is Julie with brunette hair and brown eyes. Then there is Clara dressed up warmly with blonde wavy hair and blue eyes. Lilou is in the middle with mid brown hair and brown eyes. Alice has red hair and greyish blue eyes. Finally Madeleine has light blonde hair and blue eyes.
Those of you familiar with Kidz 'n' Cats dolls will know that the clothes can be very tricky for young children to put on the dolls (hence they are recommended for age 6+). The clothes on the Petite Fleur range have been designed for use by younger children who will be able to dress and undress their dolls with ease. There will also be a small range of extra clothes to buy too.
Petite Fleur dolls will retail at approximately £65. If you click here you should be taken to Bambolina's Facebook page where you can see a much larger picture of the dolls (it is a scan so I'm sorry it is a little grainy).
